Catania Oils’ 35th Annual Basile Family Memorial Golf Tournament Raises $170,000 for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

This past September, Catania Oils proudly hosted our 35th annual Basile Family Memorial Golf Tournament, an event that has become a beloved tradition for our company, the Basile family, and our community. This year’s tournament brought together employees, volunteers, golfers, and sponsors, all united by a common goal: to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

We are thrilled to announce that this year, the tournament raised an incredible $170,000, which is a $5,000 increase from last year, keeping with our motto of “one more dollar than the year before.” This achievement pushes our overall contributions to over $1.5 million since the tournament’s inception in 1989. This remarkable milestone would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, the hard work of our volunteers, and the commitment of our participants.

This event is more than just a golf tournament. It’s a celebration of philanthropy, bringing together members of the community for a common cause. Since the creation of the Catania Cares initiative, we’ve solidified our commitment to giving back, with a focus on making a lasting impact on our community, employees, and customers. The tournament exemplifies the core values that Catania Oils has stood for over the past 35 years.

This year’s tournament featured a silent auction with prizes such as Patriots and Bruins tickets, golf foursomes, and even a trip to the 2025 PGA Championship in Charlotte, NC! Every contribution, whether from golfers, sponsors, or volunteers, is helping to make a significant difference in the fight against cancer.
